A BIT ABOUT US

Our Ministry

Godley Western Fellowship began in the heart of Pastor Don DeFoor after realizing there was a tremendous need for a church that would reach out to the rural and western heritage people in the Godley area. After much prayer and several core group meetings, it was apparent that God was leading to start this new place of worship. On November 7, 2010, almost 90 people gathered (not including the 6 horses) at Triple Cross Horse Ranch, for the inaugural service.

Many things have changed since our humble beginnings, but one thing remains the same: JESUS IS LORD AT GWF.

Our Method

While we are a Western Heritage Ministry and we do use arena events to attract the community, we also offer many traditional activities as well.  

WE ARE NOT JUST FOR COWBOYS

Our congregation ranges from working cowboys to white collar professionals.

So, regardless of your occupation or lifestyle, everyone is welcome at GWF.

Our Music

All the music at GWF  has one purpose, to bring honor to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Our repertoire is a mixture of traditional and contemporary songs. 

Regardless of their origin, last century or last night, all are about the Savior.

Our Message

We teach from the Bible as it is, to people as they are. Our goal is to bring sermons that are both relevant and timely. 

We exist to let the world to know that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

In Him there is forgiveness, in Him there is fullness of joy and in Him there is eternal life. GWF is not just a cool place to attend church, God is showing Himself and changing lives. If you’re looking for a Church, come see us this Sunday.
